Skincare and makeup haul

My exams start on the 14th of May (13 days :/ ) so I've been crazy busy with revising. So I'm going to write a few blog posts now and schedule them to be released throughout the week, so look out for them!

Today I'm doing a haul from the weekend, as I needed to buy all new skincare products. I'll let you in on a secret; I used to take no care of my facial skin at ALL! It was a case of remove makeup, rinse with water, done. To be honest, I didn't even always remove my makeup. I'd exfoliate and moisturise sometimes, but because I hardly ever break out or get greasy/dry skin, I didn't feel like I needed it. Well, I realised I did because I've been breaking out more recently, and now I LOVE taking care of my skin, researching new products, etc. Anyway, a bit about my skin; I'd say it's combination with dry cheeks and an oily T-Zone, and it's also quite sensitive. So, just because these products work for me, be sure to speak to a Body Shop consultant before you purchase them if you're unsure. They're so sweet and helpful, so definitely ask!
These were the only two products I originally intended to buy from the Body Shop, and they are the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser (£4.50 for 150ml) and the Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash (£5.50 for 100ml). The facial wash comes out as a foam which is great, as you don't have to scrub it a lot to make it foamy. It also removes makeup well and doesn't sting or burn the eyes. The exfoliator is also nice, as it is not too harsh that I can use it a few times a week, but is strong enough to really take off the dead skin!

Next is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner from the Body Shop. This has such a deliciously fresh smell, and so you feel like your face is very clean. The top image is the bottle before; as you can see it's a translucent liquid with a matte powder at the bottom. Before use, you shake it to mix the two up, which seems to make the bottle swell slightly. The Body Shop were doing a 3 for 2 offer on skincare, which is why I purchase this, but I will definitely be purchasing it next time! Normal price is £4.50 for 250ml, but as I got it for free, I paid £10 total for these three items, which is a bargain really.

The next skincare item I bought was the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser, which was £4.99 for 50ml. I thought this was relatively expensive for me, as I normally use a Soap and Glory one which is £2.50 for the same amount. However, after reading great reviews, I bought it. I'm notparticularly impressed, however. I really don't like the smell, as I feel it's a very chemical grapefruit smell, and makes me feel quite sick in the morning to honest. Also, for the price paid this is not very moisturising. I'll update you after a few more weeks, but right now, I am not happy!

Finally, I bought the Garnier Eye Roll-on. I've wanted this for years and I saw it in TJ Hughes and just HAD to buy it, as it was only £4.99. So far, I love it! I tested it on one eye and my mum commented on how I olnly had a bag under the other eye! I also use it on my eyelid to stop my lids drooping haha, I really like it!

I also recieved a voucher at the Body Shop, which was £10 off if I spend £25. That's a bargain, so if you can, go and spend £10 or more at TBS and get your voucher!

Stay beautiful girls,
