Benefit's Mascarathon & Forever 21 Up North?!

EXCITING NEWS PEEPS!

Benefit's Mascarathon

Well, only if you live in the UK, and most specifically up north, but still - if you're not excited, be excited for me! ;) Firstly, Benefit's Mascarathon begins soon in Newcastle, and will be reaching me sometime next week. If you haven't heard of it, Benefit are doing this "Mascarathon" to raise money for the charity "Refuge". Refuge work with women and their children who are victims of domestic violence which, of course, is a very worthwhile cause to raise money for! So far they have raised over £5000 and hopefully this will increase dramatically once the runs actually start! But during the run, there will be Benefit stands in all the city centres along the way, where you can get your make up done, recieve great freebies and catch a peak of the celebrity runners such as Caroline Flack and Jorgie Porter. Then, you will also be able to buy things and donate money to the charity. Makeup related charity donations? I'm there! Are you going to go along to this event? Comment below if you are! :)

Visit the link below to find out when the girls will be in your city, which celebrity will be running and what sort of fun activities you can enjoy! :)

Forever 21

So, if you're in the US, you probably take Forever 21 for granted and shop there every other week. However, if you're in the UK like myself, you'll probably share my pain when I say how much I wish there were more Forever 21s here! There's one in London, one in Birmingham and one in Stratford, but if, like me, that's too far then never fear! Soon (sometime this year), there will be one opening in Manchester! WOO-HOO! Now, I don't live IN Manchester, and it'll still be a good hour or so drive, but that's so worth it for me! I absolutely adore F21, and can't wait for my first stopping spree!

So in honour of this exciting day, I've put together a montage of my favourite pieces that, if I was there right now, I would definitely buy!

As you can see, I love pastel colours, floral patterns and lace right now! Let me know what your top fashion faves are at the moment in the comments below!

Until then, stay beautiful girls,

My Top Miniature Products for Holidays!

Hello! It's that time of year when everybody is tanning, dieting and preparing their bodies for a holiday, and Im doing the same! In three weeks in jetting off for a 10 day holiday to Florida, which I cannot wait for. I've had exams for so long, this is much needed break :) However, due to the cost of checking bags into the hold etc, the amount of stuff I can bring on holiday is pretty slim, so I'm really focusing on cutting down my products. So here are my favourite mini makeup samples to bring on holiday with you, instead of bringing the full sized versions!

Recently I picked up THREE copies of the July Edition of Glamour magazine, because I saw that the free gifts were from Benefit! The magazine was only £2, and you got one of the above products, worth £10 each! Anyway, I picked up two 7.5ml (0.25oz) samples of POREfessional Primer and also a mini BAD gal Lash mascara. I'll only bring one primer on holiday, of course, and also the mascara.

I took this picture to show just how tiny these two products are! They're perfectly sized for a holiday, because who uses more than this amount of primer in a fortnight?! Admittedly, I haven't used the mascara much, but at £2, including a magazine, this is perfect for going on your jollies!

Next is this adorable miniature perfume set I got last year for my birthday! It includes Givenchy, Ted Baker, Ghost, Amor Amor and Hugo Boss scents, and they're available from a lot of different stores and they come in many different sets. I'll include links to my top picks of mini sets of perfumes, nail polishes and more below, so check that out!

Here we have 3 OPI mini nail polishes, and I love them! The first is just clear varnish with silver glitter, and the last is clear with large blue glitter pieces. They're perfect to bring on holiday, because you could wear these over one colour, and it will appear completely different! For example, if you brought one full-sized blue nail polish, you could wear it plain for a few days, then with silver glitter, then with blue glitter and have 3 different looks! The middle one is opaque silver, and could be worn alone.

Finally, I have two mini Soap and Glory products. On the left is a mini S&G "The Righteous Butter", which can be used all over the body and is SO refreshing on sunburn! And on the right is a hand sanitizer, which is perfect sized for holiday. Sanitizer is so important, especially on holiday, as you really can't afford to get ill in some countries! Also, there are a LOT of germs on the plane haha, so always keep some on your person.

Links to my top picks!
Because some of the above are no longer available, etc, I am linking some different sets that you could purchase! Also, despite so much googling, I was really struggling to find mini perfume sets online, but I've seen a lot in Superdrug and Boots, so check it out there!

I'm going to post a new post soon about how to make the most of your makeup bag - what to bring and what to fling - so make sure you check that out if you're interested!

Until then, stay beautiful girls

HUGE GIANT APOLOGY :(

I'm so sorry that I've been entirely missing for over a month now. I set up a few posts to automatically post throughout the first week or two, and they didn't appear. After that I just didn't have time to write any, as I had GCSEs for the next few weeks. Luckily they're over now, and they went okay, so I have three months of doing nothing now. That means that hopefully I can post a lot more frequently on here, so do expect more regular posts from me!

I have a couple of reviews, make up ideas, hauls and much more to post, so I'll get started asap! :D thanks for your patience and understanding x

Skincare and makeup haul

My exams start on the 14th of May (13 days :/ ) so I've been crazy busy with revising. So I'm going to write a few blog posts now and schedule them to be released throughout the week, so look out for them!

Today I'm doing a haul from the weekend, as I needed to buy all new skincare products. I'll let you in on a secret; I used to take no care of my facial skin at ALL! It was a case of remove makeup, rinse with water, done. To be honest, I didn't even always remove my makeup. I'd exfoliate and moisturise sometimes, but because I hardly ever break out or get greasy/dry skin, I didn't feel like I needed it. Well, I realised I did because I've been breaking out more recently, and now I LOVE taking care of my skin, researching new products, etc. Anyway, a bit about my skin; I'd say it's combination with dry cheeks and an oily T-Zone, and it's also quite sensitive. So, just because these products work for me, be sure to speak to a Body Shop consultant before you purchase them if you're unsure. They're so sweet and helpful, so definitely ask!
These were the only two products I originally intended to buy from the Body Shop, and they are the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser (£4.50 for 150ml) and the Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash (£5.50 for 100ml). The facial wash comes out as a foam which is great, as you don't have to scrub it a lot to make it foamy. It also removes makeup well and doesn't sting or burn the eyes. The exfoliator is also nice, as it is not too harsh that I can use it a few times a week, but is strong enough to really take off the dead skin!

Next is the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner from the Body Shop. This has such a deliciously fresh smell, and so you feel like your face is very clean. The top image is the bottle before; as you can see it's a translucent liquid with a matte powder at the bottom. Before use, you shake it to mix the two up, which seems to make the bottle swell slightly. The Body Shop were doing a 3 for 2 offer on skincare, which is why I purchase this, but I will definitely be purchasing it next time! Normal price is £4.50 for 250ml, but as I got it for free, I paid £10 total for these three items, which is a bargain really.

The next skincare item I bought was the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Moisturiser, which was £4.99 for 50ml. I thought this was relatively expensive for me, as I normally use a Soap and Glory one which is £2.50 for the same amount. However, after reading great reviews, I bought it. I'm notparticularly impressed, however. I really don't like the smell, as I feel it's a very chemical grapefruit smell, and makes me feel quite sick in the morning to honest. Also, for the price paid this is not very moisturising. I'll update you after a few more weeks, but right now, I am not happy!

Finally, I bought the Garnier Eye Roll-on. I've wanted this for years and I saw it in TJ Hughes and just HAD to buy it, as it was only £4.99. So far, I love it! I tested it on one eye and my mum commented on how I olnly had a bag under the other eye! I also use it on my eyelid to stop my lids drooping haha, I really like it!

I also recieved a voucher at the Body Shop, which was £10 off if I spend £25. That's a bargain, so if you can, go and spend £10 or more at TBS and get your voucher!

Stay beautiful girls,
E x
